Statement of Work Marion VA Medical Center is seeking to procure two complete, medical-grade video borescope units for the Marion campus and two complete, medical-grade video borescope units for the Evansville campus. These units will be a one-time purchase. These units will be used in the Sterile Processing department to thoroughly inspect surgical instruments with lumens prior to cleaning and use of reusable medical devices. The borescopes shall be medical-grade digital video scopes and long enough to allow staff in Sterile Processing to adequately visualize and inspect lumens that are not accessible with the naked eye, using appropriately sized borescopes to best visualize narrow and delicate lumens. The device shall be a stand-alone unit requiring no network connection to operate and shall include a borescope, a high-definition monitor, all necessary HDMI cables for connection to the monitor, and any plugs or switches required for use. Sterile Processing staff shall be able to clean and disinfect the video borescope, as exposure to water and contaminants is possible. 2. SPECIFICATIONS Minimum of two (2) video borescope units for the Marion campus and two (2) video borescope units for the Evansville campus. Monitor size shall be at least 11.6 inches to provide High Definition images (400 × 400 pixels) helpful in identifying any abnormalities or damage to reusable medical devices that contain lumens (necessary to meet AAMI ST91:2021 standard best practice). No internet or data connection is required for operation. Video borescopes shall arrive with all HDMI connections, cables, plugs, wall mounts, and switches necessary for immediate use. 1.2 m × 1.0 mm video borescopes for both units (minimum size acceptable for use on colonoscopes, gastroscopes, and other instruments with delicate lumens). No installation required. Sterile Processing staff shall be able to fully clean and disinfect the unit and all parts. Capable of withstanding potential exposure to water during inspection; the unit shall be water-resistant. 3. REQUIREMENTS The vendor shall offer a repair guarantee, with fully accredited staff available for support, setup, education, and troubleshooting. The vendor shall also support the future purchase of additional video borescopes in other sizes, if needed, in the case of new intraluminal instruments with specific requirements different from 1.2 m × 1.0 mm. 4. EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE & RESPONSE TIMES The vendor shall provide full-service maintenance through a service agreement and shall provide all recurring and preventive maintenance activities. If a permanent solution cannot be implemented within 24 hours of initial failure, a temporary solution shall be operational within 24 hours. A permanent solution shall be planned, and replacements ordered within five (5) business days of initial failure. 5.
