Description
Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its intention to negotiate and award a cost plus fixed fee delivery order under Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N0001922G0009 to BAE Systems for the procurement of ALE-55 Repair and Field Services for FY 2027. The tasks shall include but are not limited to: Technical and Field support, and repair of the T-1622/ALE-55 (V) Fiber Optic Towed Decoy (FOTD) Rounds, CV-4334/ALE-55 (V) and CV-4334A/ALE-55 (V) Electronic Frequency Converter (EFC). This contract is planned to contain a base year with up to two option years and is intended to satisfy requirements for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 through FY2030.[EL1] This effort is being solicited on a sole source basis to BAE Systems in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. BAE Systems is the only contractor who possesses the manufacturing technology, infrastructure, capacity, and platform qualifications to complete all requirements detailed in the related Sources Sought Notice posted to SAM.gov on 08 April 2026. No other source has the technical qualifications and necessary resources to perform the work described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the Government's requirements. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining future competitive opportunities for this requirement.
