SERVICE/SUBJECT The purpose of this RFI is to seek information from the industry on its ability to provide for the acquisition, delivery and installation of two (2) Endoscope Sterilizers and Reprocessors units under NAICS Code 339112 – Surgical and medical Instrument Manufacturing. With this RFI, the Government seeks input as to whether any companies are capable of providing endoscope sterilizers along with the delivery, installation, annual/routine maintenance and training as outlined in the PWS attached. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) OR A REQUEST FOR QUOTATION (RFQ). IT IS STRICTLY A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI). NEITHER UNSOLICITED PROPOSALS NOR ANY OTHER KINDS OF OFFERS WILL BE CONSIDERED IN RESPONSE TO THIS RFI. NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED PURSUANT TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. A. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT PAY FOR INFORMATION RECEIVED. 1.0 Purpose The Defense Health Agency Contracting Activity (DHACA), Healthcare Contracting Division – Southeast (HCD-Southeast), Fort Detrick, Maryland, on behalf of the Naval Hospital Jacksonville (NHJAX), Florida, is conducting market research to determine the capabilities of vendors, who have the capability to provide delivery, installation and maintenance on two Endoscope Sterilizers and Reprocessor units. 2.0 Background The mission at NHJAX is to provide health protection through readiness, operational support, health promotion, and quality family-centered care to all those entrusted to us. NHJAX is recognized as a center of excellence for ambulatory care, critical care, and women's health. The NHJAX is seeking information from qualified vendors regarding their capabilities to provide delivery, installation, and maintenance on two (2) Endoscopic Sterilizers and Reprocessor Units for the Naval Hospital Jacksonville (NHJAX), Florida. The two (2) existing endoscope sterilizers and reprocessor units reached the end-of-life expectancy in 2019. Two (2) new endoscope sterilizers and reprocessor units are required to maintain operations at NHJAX. 3.0 Scope/Objectives The contractor shall supply, deliver and install 2 new endoscope sterilizers/reprocessor units, and provide maintenance and annual training to facility staff at NHJAX.
