Answers to Technical Questions 1. What was the total value of the most recent dosimetry services contract for the NWI HCS (i.e., the predecessor contract to this requirement)? The predecessor contract was a Firm Fixed Price contract with flawed pricing prompting this requirement to be resolicited as an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. 2. What is the expected total number of program participants (badge wearers) across all three locations Omaha (OVAMC), Lincoln (LVAMC), and Grand Island (GIVAMC)? The SOW references approximately 150 dosimeter badges; can you confirm whether this figure includes all badge types across all sites? There is a need for approximately 200 badges across all sites. 3. What is the expected number of Whole-Body dosimeters needed monthly? 150 4. What is the expected number of neutron-capable dosimeters needed monthly? Zero, our current license scope does not require this type of monitoring. 5. What is the expected number of extremity rings needed monthly? 5 6. Is there an estimate of the number of unreturned dosimeters per month, based on historical experience? This information will assist in accurate pricing for replacement badges. 10 7. Yes, emergency processing should be included as a separate line item Statement of Work NWIHCS Imaging Radiation Dosimetry Contract Background: Provide radiation safety badges (dosimeters) to NWIHCS employees who are exposed to radiation as a function of their employment, as well as environment monitors for specified areas of NWIHCS buildings that contain equipment which emits radiation. Purpose of Project: To establish objective, technically defensible evaluation criteria for occupational radiation dosimetry services supporting a federal medical facility with extensive fluoroscopic, nuclear medicine, and research operations. We currently order dosimeters through Landauer. We enter a 2237 to obligate the funds and then pay for them on a credit card out of FCP 023 when we are invoiced quarterly. We would like to streamline the ordering and invoicing process through the utilization of a contract. Statement of Work Description of Work: Contractor will provide dosimeters to all employees who are exposed to radiation as a function of their employment and for specified areas of the hospital requiring monitoring outlined by the Radiation Safety Officer. Frequency of monitoring will be quarterly or monthly as determined by Radiation Safety Officer and contractor will provide each monitor as ordered.
