UPDATE: The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC), formally announces a schedule change for the upcoming Government Industry Day, originally planned for 13-14 May 2026 at Eglin Air Force Base, FL. Due to unforeseen circumstances, the event is being postponed. The Government is actively working to reschedule the Industry Day for mid-July 2026 and will issue an updated announcement via SAM.gov once the new dates are firmly established. In the interim, all questions and related correspondence should be directed to the designated Points of Contact (POCs) listed on this notice. We apologize for any inconvenience this delay may cause and appreciate your continued interest and flexibility as we work to finalize the upcoming event. DESCRIPTON: The US Air Force, through the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division at Eglin AFB (AFNWC/NDB), plans to conduct an Industry Day event to inform potential offerors about the upcoming Nuclear Stores Interface Unit (NSIU). This event will serve as one of the activities used to solicit industry feedback and provide awareness of the program as the Government develops the NSIU production acquisition strategy and acquisition-related documentation. The Industry Day event will be held in advance of any anticipated draft solicitation or Request for Proposal (RFP) release. Industry Day attendance is not mandatory, nor will it limit any member of Industry from participating in any resultant acquisition. The purpose of this announcement is for information and planning purposes only; it does not constitute a solicitation or an RFP nor is it a promise to issue such a solicitation or an RFP in the future. BACKGROUND: The NSIU is a follow-on production contract to the current and on-going Engineering, Manufacturing and Development (EMD) effort. The EMD contract was awarded in 2022 and is currently due to complete EMD in early 2027. REQUIREMENT: The NSIU is a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) providing an electronic interface to allow communication between the aircraft platform and store. The NSIU is designed to update connections to meet current MIL-STD-1760 requirements and enhance nuclear hardness. AFNWC/NDB is looking for vendors with the capability to produce the NSIU to the provided specifications and quality standards as a build-to-print manufacturing effort, which will not require hardware installation. GENERAL INFORMATION: The Industry Day provides AFNWC/NDB an opportunity to communicate directly with interested vendors, outline government requirements and gain insight into the industries' capabilities. During this industry day we will have briefings and Industry Engagements/One-on-Ones. The intent is to execute an in-person event. The goal of this Industry Day is to provide potential offerors insight the program office's expectations for NSIU production and receive feedback from industry on potential courses of action for the production effort which will feed the ac…
