Description
NIST-SS26-05 PSC/NAICS (AMD) – 6640/ 339113 Title: Sources Sought Notice for Pfeiffer A100L Pump BACKGROUND The purpose of this sources sought notice is to conduct market research and identify potential sources of commercial products/services that satisfy the Government's anticipated needs. The National Institute of Standards and Technology requires a dry multi-stage roots pump to replace a broken pump to pump and circulate the helium mixture gas in a dilution refrigerator. The dilution refrigerator produces ultra-low temperatures for mission-critical experiments in metrology for quantum information science and electrical standards dissemination. The broken pump will be replaced with the Pfeiffer Vacuum A100 L Pump, Model Number A100L31324, to match the existing Pfeiffer Vacuum A100 L pump used in our dilution refrigerator systems. The required pump circulates the helium mixture gas in a dilution refrigerator. A dilution refrigerator is a specialized instrument that produces ultra-low temperatures (0.01 K) for experiments. The replacement for this pump must be the exact model of the existing Pheiffer A100 L pump used in our dilution refrigerators, so that it has the same footprint and connections, and pumps, accessories, and spare parts can be interchanged among the dilution refrigerators during maintenance and failures to keep critical experiments running at ultra-low temperatures. NIST anticipates procuring a Phieffer Vacuum A100 L Pump Model Number A100L31324 and is seeking information from manufacturers capable of meeting the following needs: Technical Specifications 1. Exact replica of the existing pump, Phieffer Vacuum A100 L Pump Model Number A100L31324. 2. Pumping Speed: 100 m3/h 3. Ultimate Pressure: 0.012 hPa 4. Input connection flange: DN50 ISO-KF 5. Output connection flange: DN 25 ISO KF 6. Physical Footprint: 600 mm x 280 mm x 300 mm 7. Interface connection: SPI 16 pin 8. Water connections: ¼” NPT Quick Connects NIST is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a solution that will achieve the objectives described above.
