Description

This notice announces the award of a firm-fixed-price purchase order to Burnham Polymeric Inc. for the procurement of custom-wound Fiber Optic Cable (FOC) packs. These FOC packs are required to provide command, control, and data links for subsea Remotely Operated Vehicle (ROV) systems. The award was made on a sole-source basis under the authority of FAR 6.103-1, as the contractor was determined to be the only source capable of manufacturing a product that meets the Governments essential technical requirements for signal performance under extreme subsea pressure.
