There is a 60-amp receptacle on the pier for power. Vendors are required to bring power sufficient to utilize their equipment for the performance of this statement of work. For planning purposes, fuel is allowed to be brought on base; however, D.O.T. regulations require equipment be empty of fuel during transportation. Office space is permitted within the explosion area on lower base with approval of the lay down plan. If the offices have windows, they need to be covered from the inside with plywood per the Explosive Safety Officer. All paint and paint documentation used in the completion of the work scope must be sent to the Consolidated Hazardous Material Reutilization and Inventory Management Program (CHRIMP) and approved before execution of work. Offerors should recognize the preparation and preservation work is not consecutive in schedule and requires the offeror to complete the preparation and then come back to the Naval Submarine Base New London to complete the preservation.
