Description
The FAA has a requirement for acquisition of single and dual channel SSR Monitors for the Air Traffic Control Beacon Interrogator Model 6 (ATCBI-6) radar system. Beel Technologies Inc. is the only known manufacturer for the single and dual channel SSR Monitors. This requirement is for the following units. 515 each MasterPoint S2 Single Channel SSR Monitor MPP P/N 31134-G35-F02-ES0 IFS P/N 100037968 NSN # 5895-20-0154263 55 each MasterPoint S2 Dual Channel SSR Monitor MPP P/N 32164-G35-F02-ES0 IFS P/N 100037583 NSN # 5895-20-0148083 The single and dual channel SSR Monitors are critical components necessary to maintain ATCBI-6 radar systems. The current requirement is necessary to avoid extended outages at National Airspace Systems (NAS) ATCBI-6 radar systems. Alternate sources for these single and dual channel SSR Monitors would require initial engineering time, first article production, testing and approval followed by production time. This delay in providing production units could result in extended outages within the NAS due to demand and supply of this asset. As a result, an increased number of NAS facilities could experience extended outages while qualifying an alternate source. This market survey is also being conducted in order to obtain the information necessary to determine whether adequate competition exists to set-aside the competition among small businesses, service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses or 8(a) certified firms. The NAICS CODE for this requirement will be 334290, Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing, with a Small Business Size Standard of 800. The FAA intends to review all response submittals to establish the acquisition strategy for this requirement. To make this determination the FAA requires the following from interested vendors: 1. Capability Statement: a. Provide documentation to the FAA showing proof of rights to use the data from the OEM b. Clearly demonstrate that the interested vendor is qualified and capable of providing the required component c. Identify type of manufacturing provided by your firm, d.
