The intended Contractor is a large vendor Nikon Instruments Inc. located at 1300 Walt Whitman Road, Melville, NY 1174-3064 The Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS) requires the Spinning Disk Confocal imaging equipment for the existing Nikon Ti Microscope System. The Contractor shall provide the Spinning disk confocal imaging equipment with the following salient characteristics and part numbers below: Specification Details Field of View (FOV) Up to 22mm Bypass Mode Yes (Manual) Light Source LED (3mm Liquid Light Guide) & Multimode Laser (SMA Fiber) Spectral Range Excitation: 390-750 nm; Emission: 430-850 nm (*) Camera Compatibility C-mount Camera Resolution Lateral (FWHM): ~230 nm (100X NA 1.45) Axial (FWHM): ~600 nm (100X NA 1.45) Configurations Compatible with Upright and Inverted Microscopes Weight 7.65Kg | 16.8 lbs Dimensions 166.20 (W) x 234 (L) x 228.60 (H) mm 6.54 (W) x 9.21 (L) x 9 (H) inches Part Name Part Number Quantity CICERO, 50/250UM WITH CELESTA 5CH 99899 1 A1 TI INTERLOCK CABLE MXA22094 1 The SAVAHCS ALS study requires subcellular localization of proteins of interest and fluorescence microscopes are a method of choice for such characterization. The spinning disk confocal imaging system must provide imaging results with optical depth, 3D imaging reconstruction, and superior resolution. Contractors must provide a compact, high-performance widefield and spinning disk confocal imaging system designed for advanced fluorescence microscopy, live-cell imaging, and high-resolution optical research. Featuring precision optics, seamless integration with modern microscope platforms, and high-sensitivity fluorescence detection, the system must ensure superior image quality, sensitivity, and speed for cutting-edge research applications. The spinning disk confocal imaging system must be compatible with the current existing microscope operating via Nikon s proprietary NIS-Elements software. The full enclosure incubator currently on the microscope is retrofitted to allow physical clearance for the Cicero 50/250 UM with Celesta 5CH to be added. This procurement is being conducted using commercial item procedures pursuant to FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13, specifically FAR Subpart13.106-1(b)(1)(i) allowing the Contracting Officer (CO) to solicit from one source. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this requirement is, 334516 Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing.
