The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) as part of a market research effort to identify domestic manufacturers and vendors capable of providing specialty evaporative cooling supplies. This notice is for planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue a solicitation in the future. 2. Scope of Requirement The Government is seeking information on the availability of the following specific items. A key objective of this research is to confirm the Country of Origin and compliance with the Buy American Act (BAA) or Trade Agreements Act (TAA) as applicable. Item FSIS-98: Cooling Hat Liner Item FSIS-98A: Evaporative Cooling Hard Hat Brow Pad Item FSIS-99: Evaporative Cooling Hard Hat Pad Item FSIS-100: Evaporative Cooling Bandana Item FSIS-101: Miracool Tie Hat (or equivalent) 3. Information Requested from Industry Interested parties are requested to provide a brief capability statement and complete the following Vendor Product Profile for each item they can provide: Vendor Name: UEI Number / CAGE Code: Point of Contact (Name, Title, Phone, Email): Business Size Standard: (e.g., Small Business, SDVOSB, WOSB, HubZone, Large) Country of Origin Confirmation: [Specify Country] American-Made Availability: Does this item meet Buy American Act (BAA) requirements (Yes/No)? Lead Times: Average delivery time after receipt of order. Technical Specifications: Attach product data sheets or brochures if available. 4. The Government will use the results of this market research to determine if the requirement can be set aside for small businesses or if a waiver for domestic preference is required based on lack of American-made availability.
