Title: Mill Springs Mill Operator Services Classification Code: M1JA, Operation of Museums and Exhibition buildings NAICS: 712120, Historical Sites Type of Set Aside: Total Small Business PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Nashville District Contracting Division has a requirement that will require the Contractor to furnish all labor, equipment, fuel, transportation, tools, and supplies necessary to provide the specified milling and interpretive services at Mill Springs Mill, Lake Cumberland, KY for the duration of the contract period. Mill Springs Mill is located approximately 15 miles from Somerset and 5 miles from Monticello on Highway 1275 in Wayne County, Kentucky. SITE VISIT: No formal site visit is scheduled for this solicitation. Offerors are urged and expected to inspect the site where services are to be performed and to satisfy themselves regarding all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of the contract performance. SYSTEM FOR AWARD MANAGEMENT (SAM): Offerors must be successfully registered (and active) in SAM, www.sam.gov, in order to receive a Government contract award. Offerors must have their representations and certifications available on-line in SAM or provide them with their proposal in order to receive a Government contract award. Offerors should also have the EFT information updated on their SAM account - all financial information is ONLY shared with financial systems and cannot be accessed by any other entity. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Effective March 22, 2018, new entities that are registering in SAM must submit an original, signed notarized letter identifying the authorized entity's Administrator that is authorized to register the entity in the SAM database, or to make changes to its registration. Effective April 27, 2018, entities that are updating or renewing their existing SAM registrations must submit an original, signed notarized letter identifying the authorized entity's Administrator that is authorized to register the entity in the SAM database, or to make changes to its registration, before the registration is activated. The new registration may now take several days to become active depending on (1) the information provided passing existing validations and (2) the entity's successful delivery of the required notarized letter. Contractors who are new to the SAM registration process are highly encouraged to begin registering as soon as possible to avoid any possible delays in future contract awards.
