Description
This is a Sources Sought Notice (a) The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this Sources Sought or to otherwise pay for the information solicited. (b) Although "proposal," "offeror," contractor, and "offeror" may be used in this sources sought notice, any response will be treated as information only. It shall not be used as a proposal. (c) Any information received from a contractor in response to this Sources Sought may be used in creating a solicitation. Any information received which is marked with a statement, such as "proprietary" or "confidential," intended to restrict distribution will not be distributed outside of the Government, except as required by law. (d) This Sources Sought is issued by Network Contracting Office 2 (NCO 2) for the purpose of collecting information on Sharps and Regulated Medical Waste Services in support of the VA NY Harbor Healthcare System. The VA is seeking to provide for this requirement as of 10/1/2026 to establish a new service. The NAICS code identified for this requirement is 562112 Hazardous Waste Collection. The requirement is detailed in the Statement of Work (included as an attachment to this notice). (e) Contractors that are able to meet all the requirements in the attachment are encouraged to email the below information to leia.labruna@va.gov by Wednesday, May 20, 2026 by 12:00PM EST, and provide the following: A capabilities statement that shows that your company has the knowledge, equipment, and abilities to perform 100% of the work outlined in the SOW. If you carry the proper certifications as detailed in the attached SOW, If so, please provide documentation evidence of certifications. If your company would have to subcontract any part of the work to provide the required services. If using a subcontractor, identify them as well as their credentials and business size. Contractors shall identify pertinent points of contact for company, socioeconomic verification in SAM and SBA. Contractor shall provide 2 to 3 instances of experience which demonstrate that they are a firm regularly engaged in this type of work, to include subcontractors for those jobs. Contractors shall also identify any Federal Supply Schedules that may carry the desired services. - Part of the purpose of this sources sought is to determine the viability of set aside to a specific socio-economic category. Contractors shall identify the NAICS code for the services being offered as well as their size status under said NAICS. If contractor is a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), a Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), or any other special category of contractors, then contractor is responsible for providing documentation in support of this.
