To all Potential/Interested Suppliers, Brookhaven Science Associates, LLC (herein known as “BSA”), operator of Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) under a Prime Contract with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), is seeking expressions of interest from firms regarding (542) EIC ESR D1-D3 Dipole Magnets and (195) EIC ESR D2 Dipole Magnets as outlined in the following attachments: Attachment A- Statement of Work for the Electron Storage Ring D1/D3 Dipole Magnets (Doc. No. EIC-MSG-SOW-017), dated February 4, 2026. Attachment B- Statement of Work for the ESR D2 Dipole Magnets (Doc. No. EIC-MSG-SOW-018), dated February 4, 2026 Attachment C- Technical Specification for the ESR D1/D3 Dipole Magnets (Doc. No. EIC-MSG-SPC-008), dated February 4, 2026. Attachment D- Technical Specification for the ESR D2 Dipole Magnets (Doc. No. EIC-MSG-SPC-009), dated February 4, 2026. Attachment E- BNL-QA-101 Revision 4/2025 Attachment F- D1-D3 Technical Drawings Available (currently drawings are being approved, will be included in competitive solicitation). Attachment G- D2 Technical Drawings Available (currently drawings are being approved, will be included in competitive solicitation). Please note that this is an RFI/Sources Sought notice, not a Request for Proposal, and no solicitation exists at this time. This RFI is for informational and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government, nor will the U.S. Government pay for information received. The information from this notice will help the Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Basic Energy Sciences (BES) survey available resources. The Electron Ion Collider (EIC) is a Nuclear Physics Facility that will create intense beams of relativistic energy electrons and ions in opposing particle storage rings that will be brought into collision in a large experimental detector. This will provide insight into the internal structure of protons and neutrons and the gluelike force that holds them together. Please provide the following information: Does your company have the capabilities and past experience in producing Dipole Magnets as outlined within the past 5 years? 2. Does your company have the capacity to support all magnets (both D1/D3 and D2)? 3.Can your company support our schedule based on the capacity requirements? 4. Does your company have key staff and engineers to provide a detailed design and program plan as outlined in the D1-D3 and D2 Dipole Magnets? 5. Does your company have manufacturing, assembly, testing capabilities and available resources to meet the proposed schedule restraints? How does our future annual requirements compare to your past throughput the last ~3-5 years? 6.Pertaining to the GFE production steel, provide an estimated scrap yield percentage? 7. What is the minimum order quantity? 8. What are the lead times? 9. What is the period validity of your proposal? Is there a concern with holding pricing because of the time bet…
