It is emphasized that this is a notice solely for planning and informational purposes. 2.0 DESCRIPTION OF ANTICIPATED NEED The Upstate New York VA Medical Centers of Albany, Buffalo, and Syracuse Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (PLMS) have a requirement for Blood Bank screening and anti-body ID products for use with VA Medical Center owned Ortho Clinical Diagnostics ID-MTS Workstations. All products provided shall be FDA approved for use with the ID-MTS Workstations. Additionally, the products must be FDA approved for immediate use with Ortho IgG gel cards and Ortho workstations, without secondary validation before use. The VA is conducting market research to identify potential sources that possess the capabilities to meet the requirement. The Government intends to award a firm, fixed-priced contract for a base year plus four (4) option years.
