The Regional Procurement Support Office, Frankfurt provides the following Pre-Solicitation Notice regarding the issuance of a Request for Quotes (RFQ) for: Electric MRL Elevator Replacement – U.S. Embassy Rome, Italy The Regional Procurement Support Office in Frankfurt, Germany, intends to issue a Firm Fixed-Price type contract during the third quarter of calendar year 2026. The successful contractor shall provide complete construction services, contract coordination, and supervision, including but not limited to the management and construction necessary to meet the requirements of the contract within the established timeframe. The United States Embassy Rome, Italy requires the replacement of a Machine Room Less (MRL) 1600 kgs (3530lbs) elevator at the Mel Sembler Building located within the U.S. Embassy Rome, Italy main compound. The Work shall encompass but is not be limited to: Removal and replacement of existing elevator in its entirety with a new rail supported Machine Room Less “MRL” gearless/PM motor type with regenerative motor control drives/inverters Review of existing structures to verify they can adequately support the forces introduced by the new MRL elevator (e.g., beams and columns for guide rail reactions, pit floor for buffer and counterweight loads, lateral bracing systems for seismic forces, etc.).
