The Contractor shall correct all cited items and ensure all O (OXYGEN), MA (COMPRESS MEDICAL AIR), VAC (MEDICAL VACUUM), WAGD (Waste Anesthetic Gas Disposal), N (Nitrogen), N O (Nitrous Oxide), valves, alarms, and infrastructure are fully code compliant and fully operational. Code Compliance Requirements All work shall be performed in accordance with NFPA 99, 2018 Edition. Any location where N O or halogenated anesthetic agents may be administered - including CT, X-ray, and imaging rooms using roll in anesthesia machines - shall be equipped with dedicated WAGD inlets. Rooms receiving WAGD shall be treated as anesthetizing locations. Contractor shall provide: A dedicated zone valve assembly per NFPA 99 Section 5.1.4.6.2. Area alarm coverage meeting NFPA 99 requirements. INFECTION CONTROL RISK ASSESSMENT (ICRA) Contractor shall coordinate with Infection Prevention and Control and complete an ICRA before work begins. ICRA measures may include barriers, negative air, HEPA filtration, dust containment, restricted work hours, cleaning protocols, and traffic controls. Contractor must implement and maintain all ICRA requirements for the project duration and promptly correct any deficiencies identified by Infection Control, Safety, or the COR. Phasing and Shutdown Requirements Submit a phasing and shutdown plan at least 14 working days prior to any interruption. No room may begin until the previous room is fully commissioned. Each Room Must Follow These Phases: Pre Construction Coordination ICRA Containment Setup Selective Ceiling Demolition & Rough In Gas Shutdowns & Tie Ins. Follow NFPA 99 procedures for tie ins, including depressurization, blow down, leak testing, and post connection re verification. Installation personnel must be credentialed: ASSE 6010 medical gas installers. Brazers qualified per ASME BPVC Section IX / AWS B2.2. Device Installation Ceiling Restoration (hard ceiling rooms only, as applicable in others) NFPA 99 Room Level Testing & Commissioning (CxA witnessed). Room level commissioning includes flow, pressure, cross connection testing, ZVB verification, alarm testing, labeling, and source system checks. Room Closeout & Transition to Next Room Maintain continuous facility operations. Comply with infection control, egress, and safety standards in active care areas. Area Alarm Deficiency: Surgery Ward (Surgery Rooms and Recovery Room) lack any aliquant area alarm. Correction: Provide and install new panels and update existing area alarm to support at the minimum: O , MA, VAC, WAGD, N , and N O. Include all transducers, wiring, labeling, and verification. Provide and install one (1) new Master Area Alarm Panel in Room #3204. New area alarm panel shall support: O , MA, VAC, WAGD, N , and N O.
