The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), NCO 2 St. Albans VA Medical Center, is seeking highly qualified construction firms to: repair parking lots and roads at the St. Albans VA Medical Center, 179-00 Linden Boulevard, Queens, NY 11424-1468 in accordance with the provided drawings and specifications. Specific Requirement: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, supervision, equipment, and safety necessary to perform the Connection site preparation. At a minimum, the following shall be performed: 1. The general contractor (GC) shall follow the Architect/Engineer 100% Issue for Construction (IFC) documents to construct and repair the parking lots and roads at SA. 2. The Contractor shall schedule all work with VA COR 3. The contractor shall provide all necessary labor and materials to prepare construction documents during the construction phase of the project. 4. All work shall conform to VA criteria and regulation 5. For construction details, please refer to ATTACHMENT “100% Construction Documents NARRATIVE” and “100% Issue for Construction (IFC)” as reference General Requirement: The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, hardware, supervision, equipment, safety, drawing, rigging, permit, labelling, commissioning, and site visits necessary to perform the site preparation. At a minimum, the following shall be performed: The Contractor shall take all necessary precautions and safety measures to protect all patients and end users from all related activities. The Contractor, along with the facility, shall jointly lock out/tag out electrical power boxes that supply power to the unit. The Contract shall provide and install all electrical and piping connections by certified technicians in their trades. The Contractor shall test and verify all work to ensure proper operation. The Contractor must have OSHA training and specialized OSHA training. In the performance of all work, the workers must be incompliance with safety regulations governing worker safety (OSHA: 29 CFR 1926 Safety and Health Regulations for Construction; NFPA, Life Safety Codes, etc.). All work shall be done in accordance with NFPA, Life Safety, VA Standards and Regulations, VA Policy and requirements, OSHA regulations, and manufacturer specifications.
