AMMENDMENT 0001 is for mistake on material list. CORRECTION IS 5 EACH 24 INCH CLAMPS...Salient Characteristics Specification: Modular Stainless Steel Ductwork SystemDocument Control Number: SC-DUCT-SS-001Subject: Modular Clamp Together and Flanged Stainless Steel Ducting and ComponentsBasis of Design: KB Duct (CECO Environmental) or Approved Equal1. Scope and PurposeThis document lists the basic physical and operational features needed for industrial grade stainless steel ducting. These parts make up a complete dust, mist, and fume collection system. The modular design allows fast setup, easy layout changes, leak resistance, and corrosion protection. When specific part numbers from KB Duct are referenced, they show the required design standard, build quality, dimensions, and performance. Any substitute items offered must match or exceed these key requirements.1. General System RequirementsAll supplied components must meet the following general standards:Material: All duct pipes, branch pieces, elbows, reducers, sleeves, and hangers must be made from commercial grade Stainless Steel (minimum Grade 304 with mill finish or 2B finish; Grade 316 is also acceptable).Connection Types:Clamp Together (Rolled Edge): Standard straight pipes, branch fittings, reducers, and elbows must have a rolled lip edge on each end. This allows quick connection clamps to join parts together without needing field welding, rivets, or sheet metal screws.Flanged Ends: Select large diameter parts (28 inch duct, branch fittings, and adapter ends) must have factory welded angle or flat flanges with standard bolt holes.Pipe Seams: Straight pipe lengths and fabricated bodies must have smooth, solid, airtight welded seams to stop leaks and keep dust from building up inside.Gasket Materials: Clamps must include chemical and oil resistant Buna-N (Nitrile) seals rated for standard industrial air temperatures. Flanged 28 inch joints must include Neoprene full face or ring gaskets with pre-punched bolt holes matching the flanges.Adjustability: The system must allow quick length adjustments in the field using sliding sleeves and clamping adapters without cutting or damaging permanent pipe sections.1.
