The government intends to solicit a firm-fixed-price contract. Delivery is FOB destination to USAF Academy, CO 80840. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. 2.0 Background and Requirement Description The US Air Force Academy has a requirement for a commercially available or modified-commercial Hyperbaric Chamber System to support the Dean of Faculty Department of Biology. The anticipated core requirements for the system include, but are not limited to: SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS: 1. Dynamic O2 and CO2 Controller with the following requirements: a. O2 Control Range: 0.1% - 99.9% with accuracy of ± 1% b. CO2 Control Range: 0.1% - 20% with accuracy of ± 1.5% c. Gas control resolution of 0.1% d. Digital Controller that displays process values and provides interface to control gas infusion e. Dynamic programming and profile creation enabling multiple setpoints, ranges and number of cycles f. Pod-based sensor that monitors/measures conditions within chamber (discussed below) and communicates to the gas controller to maintain desired gas concentrations g. Connections for O2, N2 and CO2. Gas source delivered through compressed gas cylinders h. Bi-directional control action with O2 gas infusion for raising O2 and nitrogen gas infusion for lowering O2. i. Bi-directional control action with CO2 gas infusion for raising CO2 and nitrogen gas infusion for lowering CO2. j. Graphical trending and data logging capabilities 2. System Chamber with the following requirements: a. Enclosure with a polycarbonate and stainless steel construction for durability and corrosion resistance b. Enclosure is compatible with the gas controller listed above c. Enclosure with 2 shelves, each shelf has a minimum dimension of 12.75" W × 10.25" D d.
