Description of Intent In accordance with part 12 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation ( FAR ), ARPA-E intends to negotiate and award a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) and immediate Call Order on a sole-source basis to Currence to provide access to the Currence platform. This platform serves as a Technology Commercialization and Market Intelligence Platform ( TCMIP ), providing artificial intelligence-powered insights, real-time data, and expert analysis in rapidly evolving energy and technology landscapes. 2. Background and Justification ARPA-E requires a comprehensive, web-based research and data platform to track the commercialization progress of funded technology projects and gain deep market intelligence. Currence is the only platform capable of meeting ARPA-E 's critical needs, including: Granular Data and API Integration: The platform must provide granular data details with API functionality to allow the agency to pre-define and automatically update datasets, supporting bulk export into internal tracking models for continuous portfolio monitoring. Multi-level Taxonomy: The platform must support precise competitor mapping through a multi-level technology taxonomy that identifies specific technology sub-approaches, which is essential for evaluating competitive sub-segments within energy domains. Operational Requirements: The service must be available on a 24/7/365 basis and provide data in a downloadable CSV format to ensure seamless integration with DOE workflows. Expert Analysis: The service must include curated analyst research libraries and direct access to sector analysts for discussions to interpret data, challenge, or validate internal assessments—capabilities uniquely bundled within the Currence framework. To the best of ARPA-E 's knowledge, Currence is the only source that can provide this integrated suite of services, specifically the combination of energy-specific taxonomy, direct API bulk-export functionality, and expert analyst support. 3.
