In accordance with VAAR 836.204 and/or FAR 36.204, the magnitude of construction for this project is between $10,000,000.00 and $20,000,000.00. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Nebraska-Western Iowa Health Care System (NWIHCS), the Iowa City VA Medical Center intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with the procedures set forth in Part 14 and 36 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Network Contracting Office 23 (NCO23) intends to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for completion of construction Project Number 636A8-22-001, Renovate Dialysis Clinic at the VA NWIHCS, Iowa City VA Medical Center in Iowa City, Iowa. An IFB is planned to be issued on or about 15 June 2026, with an anticipated award date within 60 calendar days from bid opening date. Further details of all dates, events, and locations, including site visit and bid due date, will be available in the IFB. The Iowa City VA Medical Center currently has a need to renovate the 6th Floor Clinical Support at the Iowa City VAMC. The primary objective of the project is to provide suitable space for the clinical support staff that serve the inpatient units on the 5th and 7th floors. The support staff to include space for social workers, physicians, nutritionists, and education staff. The majority of the renovations will result in offices, conference, storage, and staff workrooms, a clean and soiled utility rooms, reception area, lactation room, electrical closet, and restrooms.
