This is a Notice of Proposed Contract Action under RFO Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Products and Commercial Services. This notice is for information only; a solicitation will not be issued. The Information Directorate has ongoing classified computing, secure telephone, video-teleconferencing equipment, and secure networks in support of multi-domain environments that require continuous UPS services. These services must be maintained 24/7 due to critical communication requirements with USAF, Agencies, and other mission partners. The UPS system is the primary power supply backup platform. In order to prevent an interruption in services or loss of data related to the support being provided by this facility, procurement of a support maintenance contract covering hardware and software for this UPS is necessary in the event of a failure event related to the UPS system. Eaton is the manufacturer of the UPS system and has confirmed that they do not authorize any other service provider. Eaton's products are constructed and designed by their employees to be worked on by their employees. All diagnostics and software adjustments are proprietary, should non-Eaton employed/certified technicians do any work on the UPS, any warranties would be void.
