This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products or commercial services prepared in accordance with FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation 6923G226Q000022 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for the Asbestos abatement required to support drilling the holes for the security gates at the library, United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA). The combined synopsis/solicitation will result in a firm-fixed-price (FFP) construction service contract. This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov. All responsible small business sources may submit a response which, if timely received, will be considered by the agency. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 562910 for Commercial and remediation with dollar threshold below $25 Million. Offers received from firms that are not small business concerns shall be considered non-responsive and will be rejected (in accordance with FAR 52.219-6 Notice of Total Small Business Set-Aside which applies to this solicitation). The USMMA seeks a qualified and experienced contractor to perform the Asbestos abatement required to support drilling the holes for the security gates at the library, in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). A Site-Visit is scheduled for 7/07/2026 at 10AM-EST at the lobby at the library. Attendance at the site visit is highly recommended. As per FAR Part 52.236-3 Site Investigation and Conditions Affecting the Work. "(a) The Contractor acknowledges that it has taken steps reasonably necessary to ascertain the nature and location of the work, and that it has investigated and satisfied itself as to the general and local conditions which can affect the work or its cost…” The deadline for the receipt of questions is 5PM Eastern Standard Time (EST) on July 10th. Quotations are due by July 17, 2026, at 2:30PM-EST via e-mail to the contracting team .
