Purchase Description for the B455 Grit Blaster Sound CurtainScope The following document provides the requirements and specifications for the B455 Grit Blaster Sound Curtain Requirements 1. General Requirements This section provides the design specification requirements for the B455 Grit Blaster Sound Curtain. a. The overall sound curtain layout will comprise of two separate layouts referred to as Layout A and Layout B. Each layout is made up of 3 sections. b. Sound curtain distances given are assuming the support poles are centered on 10 inch x 10 inch foot plates. c. Mounting system i. The overall height of the sound curtain is to be limited to 12 foot. This is to include the 1 inch gap between the curtain and the floor along with the height of the mounting track (to be called out by the manufacturer) ii. Floor mounted galvanized track system with trolley hooks. Upright floor supports at the start and end of each section at minimum. The manufacturer will need to specify if more floor supports are needed. The specific requirements below will call out if the design needs more than the minimum locations. d. Curtain Construction i. The sound curtain will be constructed of a dual layer sound blocking material with the finished layer being either solid PVC or coated or laminated polyester ii. Exterior curtain material will need to be UV and mildew resistant along with being ASTM E-84 Class A fire rated. iii. Interior curtain material will be a soft acoustic fabric facing the noise source iv. Manufacturer to provide Sound Transmission Coefficient and Noise Reduction Coefficient tables for the curtain material of construction. v. The curtain will be constructed of accordion foldable panels for easy retraction. The panels will be Velcroed at a maximum of 5 foot increments for maintenance access and at every upright floor support location. The holes for the trolley hooks will be edged with grommets for the final finish. vi. Finished color preference is grey. This section provides specific dimensions and requirements for the B455 Grit Blaster Sound Curtain equipment requested. a. Layout A i. Section 1 1. 110 inch in length 2. A minimum window of 24 inch wide x 24 inch high centered as close to the middle of the section as possible while being centered within one panel. The bottom of the window will be at a height of 42 inch. Window will be 40 mil clear vinyl ii. Section 2 1. 138 inch in length 2. Floor supports centered in the section with the middle spacing at 68 inch iii. Section 3 1. 102 inch in length 2. Floor support at 38 inch 3. A minimum window of 24 inch wide x 24 inch high centered on the panel closest to the grit blaster. Bottom of the window will at a height of 42 inch. Window will be 40 mil clear vinyl b. Layout B i.
