AI Summary

• The Chemical Sciences Division (CSD) of the Material Measurement Laboratory (MML) at NIST requires a Mid-Wave Infrared Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser system and associated hardware to support precision in chemical measurement research and spectroscopic analysis.
• The desired components include a Distributed feedback laser diode with a wavelength of 2700 nm ± 10 nm, a mounting option with thermoelectric cooler (TEC), negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor, and anti-reflection coated window, as well as a lens cap compatible with these optics.
• A lens cap for laser collimation must also be included to ensure proper alignment of the laser system.
QUALITY RULES:
- Start each bullet with the • character followed by a single space.

- Do not include any preamble, headers, labels, numbering, or commentary outside the bullets.
EXAMPLE 1 OUTPUT:
• The CSD MML at NIST requires DFB laser diodes at wavelength 2700 nm ±10nm mounted on TEC coolers, thermistors and windows, and lens caps.
• DFB laser diols required include a Distributed feedback type with wavelength 2700 nm ±

Description

NIST-SS26-CHIPS-159 Title: Sources Sought Notice for Mid-Wave Infrared Distributed Feedback Laser Systems BACKGROUND The Chemical Sciences Division (CSD) of the Material Measurement Laboratory (MML) at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) mission is to provide the measurement science, standards, and data that support the nation's needs in chemical, biological, and materials sciences. This purchase directly supports the Division's mission by providing the necessary laser instrumentation to maintain precision in chemical measurement research and spectroscopic analysis. The acquisition of these specific Mid-Wave Infrared Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser components is critical to advancing the division's ongoing experimental capabilities and high-accuracy measurements. NIST requires a Mid-Wave Infrared Distributed Feedback (DFB) laser systems and associated hardware. These items are required to support the specialized optical and spectroscopic research requirements within the Chemical Sciences Division. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Material Measurement Laboratory (MML) has a requirement for a Helium Mass Spectrometer Leak Detector and is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing a solution that will achieve the specifications described below: Laser System 1 shall be assembled, optically aligned, and comprise: Distributed feedback laser diode, wavelength of 2700 nm ± 10 nm Mounting Option with thermoelectric cooler (TEC), negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor, anti-reflection coated window, and lens cap compatibility Lens Cap for laser collimation Heatsink and Connectors for electronics and optics Laser System 2 shall be assembled, optically aligned, and comprise: Distributed feedback laser diode, wavelength of 3000 nm ± 10 nm Mounting Option with thermoelectric cooler (TEC), negative temperature coefficient (NTC) thermistor, anti-reflection coated window, and lens cap compatibility Lens Cap for laser collimation Heatsink and Connectors for electronics and optics HOW TO RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE In responding to this notice, please DO NOT PROVIDE PROPRIETARY INFORMATION.
