SOURCES SOUGHT/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION FOR Radiographic Testing (RT) of a large aluminum weldment for Letterkenny Army Depot (LEAD) The Army Contracting Command, Redstone Arsenal – Letterkenny Army Depot (ACC-RSA-LEAD) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) and Source Sought announcement to gain information from industry and seek sources capable of and interested in providing radiographic testing (RT) of a large aluminum weldment, approximately 14x11x4 FT and thickness of weld joints 1.5-2.0” (more in some locations). All services will be expected to be performed at LEAD. Service provider will be expected to travel to LEAD within 24 hours notice to perform RT operations. Requirements could range in service timeline required and could be subject to daily needs or perhaps months-long gaps in service. Requirements will be expected to meet list of standards provided. Servicer will be responsible for bringing all required equipment for operation from taking images to evaluating them on-site. Methodology whether film, computer, or digital is permitted and subject to contractor discretion and shot requirements. There will often be real-time need for results with asset production and welding being on-hold until RT is completed. Current production outlook is 18 cabs / units in total. 3 cabs will require 100% RT in compliance with print 12940852 E Redline to include all ~230 shots per cab, even those struck out by the redlines. The other 15 cabs will require RT in compliance with 12940852 E Redline as it is written, ~ 37 shots required per cab. There are provisions in the 12940852 print for sampling plans and rework outcomes which would require additional shots to be taken on failed cab and those that follow. The overall project is expected to span late 2026 through 2031. The purpose of providing this information is to conduct Market Research and identify interested sources capable of inspecting these items.
