This is a market survey for a construction project titled: Thomas P. Stafford Building (TPS) Renovations at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), Oklahoma City, OK. 2. The Magnitude of Construction is between $20,000,000 to $30,000,000. The Contract Award is projected for November 2027. Performance and payment bonds will be required in a penal sum equal to 100% of the contract price. The Headquarters Building (HQB) at the MMAC is a 222,130 GST building originally constructed in 1991 and is comprised of a basement and two floors above grade. The Thomas P. Stafford Building (Building 27) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC) in Oklahoma City functions as a state-of-the-art training complex. It houses the FAA Academy, providing advanced classrooms and simulation laboratories for air traffic control and Technical Operations students and instructors. This project will upgrade the aging mechanical and electrical systems serving the building. Work associated with construction of this project will be done primarily after hours (12:00 am to 6:00 am Monday through Friday) and weekends to prevent disturbance to classes while the building is occupied. The work required for the facility will include the following: Demolition and replacement of 5 knockdown construction semi-custom air handling units with provision for temporary packaged air handling units to continue HVAC service to spaces where the air handing units have been removed until new units have been installed. Rebalancing of primary air to fan powered variable air volume boxes served by new air handling units for newly calculated heating and cooling loads. Demolition of existing 180-ton chiller, cooling tower, condenser water pumps and associated condenser water piping. Demolition and replacement of roof mounted relief air hoods and control dampers and pressure sensors for control of building relief air. Demolition and replacement of building smoke evacuation fans and associated air dampers and associated controls. Demolition and replacement of building chilled water pumps with new VFD controls.
