STATEMENT OF NEED Office Chairs for NOAA Fairweather 140802-26-0528 PURPOSE: The purpose of this requirement is to procure ergonomic officer chairs for the bridge and designated workspaces aboard the NOAA Ship Fairweather. The existing officer chairs are approximately 15 years old and have reached the end of their service life. Due to prolonged use in the demanding maritime environment, the chairs are deteriorating, with worn and failing components that no longer provide adequate support, reliability, or safety for daily operations.
