Background The U.S. Embassy Vientiane is conducting market research to better understand the capabilities of the insurance industry in providing comprehensive health insurance coverage for approximately: Employees: 280 Spouses: 225 Children: 650 The anticipated contract period, if a future solicitation is issued, is expected to consist of a one-year base period with four one-year option periods . The anticipated award timeframe is late 2027 . Requested Information Interested companies are requested to submit a white paper addressing, at a minimum, the following: Available group health insurance plans. Plan specifications and coverage limits. Network hospitals and medical facilities in Laos and Thailand. Premium calculation methodology. Provider payment methodology. Optional coverages (Dental, Vision, Air Ambulance, International Coverage, Catastrophic Coverage, etc.). Age limitations and family plan options. Coverage in Thailand and international medical treatment. Claims submission and reimbursement process. Approval timelines for reimbursements, direct billing, surgeries, and emergencies. Enrollment procedures and policy issuance. Premium payment options. Ability to customize or modify insurance plans.
