Request for Information/Sources Sought LOCAL DRAYAGE OF DIRECT PROCUREMENT METHOD (DPM) PERSONAL PROPERTY SHIPMENTS INTRODUCTION THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) / SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY – This RFI/Sources Sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes – it does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) or a Request for Quote (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFP or RFQ in the future. Solicitations are not available at this time. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the United States Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the United States Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the United States Government. ELIGIBILITY The anticipated NAICS code for this requirement is 488991-Transportation and Warehousing – Other Support Activities for Transportation - Packing and Crating. Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. REQUIREMENT See attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS), PWS Attachments, and Estimated Workload Quantities and below requirements. These are draft documents and do not represent the final requirement which is subject to change until the Solicitaition is posted. The purpose of this acquisition is to furnish all personnel, equipment, facilities, supplies, services, and materials, except as specified herein as government-furnished, for the preparation of the personal property (including servicing of appliances) of Department of Defense (DoD) personnel for shipment, drayage and/or storage and related services through the DPM. The contractor shall furnish all materials except Government-owned containers (Federal Specification PPP-B-580), all equipment, plant and labor; and perform all work in accomplishing containerization of personal property for overseas or domestic movement or storage, including stenciling, cooperage, drayage of personal property in connection with other services, decontainerization of inbound shipments of personal property; and the handling of shipments into and out of the Contractor's facility.
