Additional pharmacist services are necessary to support safe, effective, and compliant pharmacy operations in accordance with Indian Health Manual, Chapter 7 requirements. Contracted pharmacist support will enhance continuity of care, improve access to pharmacy services, strengthen chronic disease management efforts, and support medication safety and patient education activities. These services will help expand the Yakama Service Unit's capacity to provide high-quality pharmaceutical care to eligible American Indian and Alaska Native patients. Background: The Yakama Service Unit (YSU) requires the procurement of contracted pharmacist services to support its Pharmacy Department due to current staffing shortages caused by vacancies and the limited availability of qualified personnel.
