The Coast Guard will perform the labor and provide all necessary materials and tools. 2.0 Objective The objective of this Statement of Work is to obtain a qualified technician from Philadelphia Gear to provide expert technical assistance to troubleshoot and provide a parts list if necessary for the crew to repair the main reduction gear onboard CGC MAPLE. 3.0 Scope of Work The contractor technician shall provide expert technical guidance and assistance to Coast Guard personnel to troubleshoot the reduction gear observed during operation both in port and while underway. The technician will then provide a list of parts required to complete repair by the ship's crew 3.1 In-port The technician will perform inspections of the system as required to correctly identify potential causes of overheating. The ship's crew will be standing by to perform work and removal of components as necessary. The equipment will be operated at the pier for an amount of time determined by the Engineer Officer and the Technician to satisfy the inspection. If all appears satisfactory the ship will move toward underway inspection to place the equipment under load. 3.2 Underway Technician will get underway for a period of no longer than 10 hours to perform checks and inspections as necessary to identify underlying cause that is contributing to the system overheating while under a load. The ship's crew will be standing by to adjust the plant and perform work / removal of components as necessary. The equipment will be operated until determined by the Engineer Officer and the Technician to satisfy the inspection. This requirement consists of performing all on-site labor and services. CGC Maple has an immediate need for technical assistance for tasks outlined in attached Statement of Work (SOW). All work must be performed on-site at Fort Macon Road, Atlantic, Beach, NC, 28512. The planned Period of Performance (POP) will be conducted during a single visit at the earliest time available and will be scheduled with the cutter POC listed in section 5 of the SOW. Contractor is to be onsite No Later Than (NLT) 26JUN26 or as scheduled with primary POC. This acquisition is a 100% total small business set-aside under NAICS code 336611 , with a corresponding small business size standard of 1,250 employees. The applicable Product Service Code is J020.
