The ship's Main Gas Turbine is currently non-operational and has an immediate need for new insulation materials as outlined in this Statement of Work (SOW). 1.0 GENERAL Background USCGC MUNRO inadvertently soaked the insulation surrounding GTBA-HOSE-1 with an oily water. The hose is for the anti-icing bleed air system located underneath the Main Gas Turbine Module. Inundated insulation causes smoking when the Gas Turbine is operated in external temperatures above 40 degrees; preventing operation of the turbine. Scope The scope of this contract is defined by the efforts and tools required to support USCGC MUNRO (WMSL 755). The Contractor shall manufacture new removeable insulation covers to the dimensions and specs provided. OBJECTIVE The goal is to return CGC MUNRO to Fully Mission Capable (FMC) status.
