Description: VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System located at 11301 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90073 is seeking a contractor to provide compliance service for Sewer System Management Plan (SSMP) development and Storm Water MS4 Phase 2 permit. 1.c. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) mandates sewer system management plan and Storm Water MS4 permits large facilities like the VA West Los Angeles Medical Center. EPA delegates this oversight to California State Water Board which monitors sewer and stormwater lines under the SMARTS database. EPA defines stormwater as the runoff generated when precipitation flows over land or impervious surfaces without peculating through the ground and is administered through (NPDES)National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permits. SCOPE. Sewer System Management Plans (SSMPs) the Online California Integrated Water Quality System (CIWQS) Sanitary Sewer System Database is required for facilities with large sewer networks under CALIFORNIA INTEGRATED WATER QUALITY SYSTEM (CIWQS).
