The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Iowa City VA Health Care System (ICVAHCS), intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) in accordance with the procedures set forth in Part 14 (Sealed Bidding) and 36 (Construction and Architect-Engineer Contracts) of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). Network Contracting Office 23 (NCO23) intends to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for completion of construction Project Number: 636A8-26-001, Install Sediment Filter System at the Iowa City VA Health Care System, located in Iowa City, Iowa. An IFB is planned to be issued on or about May 29, 2026, with an award date within 60 calendar days from bid opening date. Further details of all dates, events, and locations, including site visit and bid due date, will be available in the solicitation. The Iowa City VA Health Care System has a requirement to install a cold-water Sediment Filtration System between the City domestic supply and the facility's distribution infrastructure. The installation will include, but is not limited to, the installation of a VA-provided LiquiTech brand (Model LFSKID-4XLP-2) Sediment Filtration System, as well as providing all required piping, valves, hardware, etc. necessary for proper installation. Bypasses will also be installed by the contractor so that future maintenance can be performed on the completed Sediment Filtration System without disrupting the domestic cold-water supply to the facility. The contractor will also install a flush line into a VA-provided drain buffer tank and a flush manifold drain into a floor drain.
