THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AND REVERSED INDUSTRY ENGAGEMENT for Seismic Retrofit of the Historic Union Station in Tacoma, WA THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA), Public Buildings Service, Acquisition Project Delivery – Capital Construction Division, is conducting market research: (1) To determine if there are adequate Small Business, HUBZone small business, Women-Owned small business, or Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned small business contractors capable of performing the construction services for the requirement described herein. If it is determined that adequate competition exists, the GSA may set the requirement aside for competition among the selected group; (2) Determine constructability for the Design Concept, (3) Provide Rough Order of Magnitude cost estimate, and (4) Provide general comments. GSA is seeking all qualified, interested sources (both Large and Small Businesses) to respond to this Request for Information to provide General Contracting services for the Seismic Retrofit of the Historic Union Station in Tacoma, WA. Under the Design-Bid-Build project delivery method, the contractor provides a firm-fixed-price. Any resultant contract shall adhere to the GSA Public Buildings Service Core Buildings Standards, Building Information Modeling, and Owners Project Requirements. This office anticipates award of a contract for these services in Spring/Summer of 2027. Contract duration is estimated to be two (2) years and eleven (11) months. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The Small Business Size Standard is $45 million. The estimated magnitude of construction is the range of $50-$60 million.
