AI Summary

• The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is awarding a sole source contract to Tetra Tech for emergency response and remedial activities in support of Superfund sites in Region 3.
• This contract meets the EPA's requirements for bridge justifications under FAR 6.103-21 due to Region 3's specific mission and site constraints, despite it being set aside for small businesses.
• The contract's purpose is to perform response, remedial, assessment, excavation, removal, rehabilitation, and other necessary activities at impacted Superfund sites in Kentucky.
• Although the original solicitation called for full competition and was later changed to set-aside due to limited sources; the revised contract will provide flexibility to pursue sole-source award.
