This spares buy requirement encompasses a diverse range of aviation and aerospace components. The requested supplies primarily include aircraft structural and mechanical components (such as airframe parts, rotor mechanisms, and hydraulic systems), airborne communication and radar equipment, flight instrumentation, and various electrical and electronic sub-components required for platform maintenance. This action is intended to be awarded on a sole source basis to LM RMS under the authority permitting other than full and open competition, Title 10, U.S.C. 3204 (a)(1), as implemented by Revolutionary FAR Overhaul (RFO) 6.103-1, " Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements." A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
