This is a Notice of Intent, not a request for proposal. The National Institute of Health, Clinical Center (NIH-CC) intends to negotiate on an other than full and open competition basis with the following vendor: Philips North America LLC. Acquisition Description: The Critical Care Medicine Department routinely performs diagnostic and research EKGs on adult and pediatric patients within the Clinical Center. The IntelliSpace ECG Management System allows for the viewing and interpretation of EKGs of all patients regardless of size or age, interfacing the data tracings into the electronic medical record. By utilizing the IntelliSpace ECG Management System, we can increase diagnostics and decrease turnaround time by utilizing the system. Preventative maintenance, repair services, technical support, software updates, training, loaner equipment, and probe replacement minimizes downtime therefore providing safe and effective patient care as well as prompt diagnosis. The statutory authority for this sole source requirement is 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supply of service will satisfy agency requirements.
