INTRODUCTION: The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) at Patuxent River, MD announces its requirement to procure production-representative, flight-certified hardware to transition the AN/ALE-47 Common Carriage (CC) Countermeasures Dispensing System from the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) phase into rate production. The contract will cover the manufacture, testing, and delivery of the following Weapon Replaceable Assemblies (WRAs) and associated Support Equipment: SA-2669A/ALE-47(V) Common Carriage Sequencer: Modernized electronic control unit with upgraded processing, firmware loading capabilities, and increased memory to support the legacy dispenser, as well as next-generation intelligent expendables. D-74/ALE-47(V) Common Carriage Dispenser Housing Assembly: Ruggedized mechanical housing that mounts to the aircraft structure to secure the magazine assembly. MX-12772/ALE-47(V) Common Carriage Magazine Assembly: Upgraded high-capacity magazine capable of holding 48 individual 1"x1"x8" square expendable cartridges (a 60% capacity increase over legacy systems). AN/ALM-300 Support Equipment: Next-generation Organizational-Level (O-Level) flight line test sets. The estimated contract value will be $104,000,000.00 across United States Navy and Marine Corps.
